Rapid Response Unit (RRU) is a new, innovative initiation of Society without violence NGO, which is going to be a very optimal way of giving a response to gender based violence cases from the whole territory of Armenia. The Rapid Response Unit is a very unique working team, which will detect the gender based violence cases, make rapid investigation and provide the victim with a social and juridical contribution.

The idea of having such a project comes from SWV NGO’s vision of achieving a society without violence against women.

The aim of this project is to make the voices of women being violated in their families to be heard, make them feel that they are protected and not alone. This consequently will help to reveal number of violence cases against women and achieve the punishment of the perpetrators which in its turn will lead to reduction of gender based violence in Armenia.

SWV is going to have a web-site on a special platform, which will give everyone the opportunity to report from any place about the gender based violation cases, so the RRU can explore the case and give the necessary response and the future contribution as well.

We hope to achieve the maximum results and we expect to build cooperation from the society to raise their voices about gender based violence cases.
