Since 2019 Anna Karapetyan is a Board Member of the Society Without Violence (SWV) NGO. In 2014 she graduated Yerevan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (Oriental Studies). Before taking up the role of the Board Member at the organisation, for a few years she has been working at SWV as Project Coordinator and then Head of Projects. In her capacity she has overseen projects concerning the protection of women's rights as well as the elimination of gender-based violence and inequality. On behalf of the NGO, Anna participated in various international conferences and seminars.

The project “Combating Human Rights Violations against vulnerable groups peoplee in the South Caucasus and Russia” which is implemented in partnership with ILGA Europe, aims at strengthening the capacity of nine CSOs, who promote and protect the rights of vulnerable groups. The project mainly concentrates on strengthening the capacity and skills in the fields of monitoring, documentation, advocacy, litigation and awareness-raising of CSOs in the South Caucasus and Russia and to develop and implement activities in the relating fields as to enhance the human rights position of vulnerable groups.
It aims at raising awareness of young people on vulnerable groups issues, decrease the hate speech and intolerance against vulnerable groups community members, empower vulnerable groups community members and foster solidarity and cooperation between diverse groups.
In the frameworks of this project, Society Without Violence NGO organises researches, trainings and awareness raising activities on types and manifestations of discrimination and bullying in the fields of education and healthcare in Armenia.
